Mesa State is a multipurpose, public college. Established as a two-year college in 1925, it became a four-year state college in 1988. Programs are offered through the Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Professional Studies. Its 42-acre campus is located in Grand Junction, in western Colorado.
