Recognized by insidecollege.com as one of Oregon's "Hidden Gems," Western Oregon University is dedicated to meeting the needs of its diverse student body. Founded in 1856, WOU's 157-acre campus is located in Monmouth, 20 miles southwest of Salem. A diverse set of resources is available to WOU students, including the Honors Program, Study Abroad & International Exchanges, as well as dual enrollment programs with two community colleges. Financial aid is also available, and in some cases students may qualify for the Western Undergraduate Exchange program or the Oregon Opportunity Grant.
